Larry G Wright, 62, of Santa Paula, California died at his home on Thanksgiving morning, November 25, 2004.
Larry was born April 4, 1942 in Idaho Falls, Idaho the son of Orice B Wright and Zelda Williams Wright. He attended schools in Idaho Falls, Idaho and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. While at Idaho Falls High School he served as Sophomore Class President. Because of an accident during his sophomore year in 1957 he missed a year of school. On his return to Idaho Falls High School in 1958 he again was elected Sophomore Class President. He continued his education at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho and then Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Larry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served an LDS Mission to the East Central States Mission from September of 1966 to September of 1968.
He married Luella Jones on January 31, 1970 in Rigby, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized on February 4, 1971 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
With Luella, he moved to California to start a career with the Automobile Club of Southern California where he was responsible for public speaking assignments and safety presentations at schools. He later became manager of the Automobile Club of Southern California in Semi Valley and Moorpark where he served until his retirement in April of 2004.
He is survived by his wife Luella Wright, a daughter Heather Wright and a son Brandon (Patty) Wright all of Santa Paula, California. Three brothers, Fred J (Alta) Wright of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Dr. Kenneth L (Karen) Wright of Coarsegold, California and Roger B (Connie) Wright Serving as Mission President of the Denver, South, Colorado Mission, A sister, Neva (Dean) Nalder of Rigby, Idaho.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kay W Wright and Dean R Wright.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Eckersell Memorial Chapel. The family will meet with friends at Eckersells from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery in Rigby, Idaho.
