Larue C. Brunson

Eckersell Funeral Home 101 West Main Rigby, Idaho 83442 208-745-6604 LaRue Clements Brunson, 70, of Island Park, Idaho and formerly of Pocatello and Rexburg, Idaho died Monday, January 19, 2004 at EIRMC hospital in Idaho Falls from complications of diabetes and lingering illness. She was born June 1, 1933 to Carroll D. and Opal Rebecca Williams Clements in Rigby, Idaho. She attended schools in Rexburg and was a member of the LDS Church. On October 23, 1948 she married Frank E. Brunson of Rexburg. She and her husband moved to Pocatello in 1951, and lived there for nearly forty years while Frank worked at FMC Corp. They raised their five children there and LaRue later worked for Zimmerly in American Falls and for many years with K Mart as an Assistant Manager and later as a Manager in the Cafeteria. Before retirement in 1988 they built a cabin in Island Park. They later moved there and commuted back and forth from there to a small home in Rexburg for several happy years. She loved to fish and boat with her family. In their earlier years, she and her husband enjoyed riding motorcycles on cross-country trips. She liked to sew and embroidered many gifts for her children. She liked to garden and was a very meticulous housekeeper. She was very close to her family. Her parents, a brother, Dennis Clements, three sons; Darrel Eugene (wife Kathy) Brunson, Bobby Frank Brunson and a baby boy preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Frank Brunson Sr. of Island Park, two daughters, Vickie L. Brunson of Las Vegas, Nevada and Debora (Roy) Duke of Temperance, Michagan. Two sons, Frank (Aimee) Brunson Jr. of Pocatello, Idaho and Phillip (Brenda) Brunson of Rigby, Idaho. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 23, 2004 at 12:00 noon in the Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main Rigby, Idaho) The family will meet with friends at Eckersell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 22, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery in Rexburg, Idaho.
