Laura Jean Cramer

June 27, 1936 — January 18, 2014

Laura Jean Marriott Cramer, 77, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at Life Care Center in Idaho Falls. Laura was born June 27, 1936, in Roberts, Idaho, to Lynn Fay and Ruth Kinghorn Marriott. She attended schools in Roberts and graduated from Roberts High School. She married Harold “Hal” Eldon Cramer Oct. 27, 1954, in Lewisville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She lived in Roberts, Riverside, Paul and Idaho Falls throughout her life. An active member of the LDS Church, she served in many capacities including Relief Society President multiple times, Young Women’s President, and Primary President. Laura was a hard worker and supported her family in all of their many activities. She also spent a lot of time serving others, and was a friend to everyone she met. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, the Red Hat Society and the Snake River Fine Arts Association. She loved to socialize with friends, she was a very good cook and loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She is survived by her children: Greg (Diane) Cramer, Patty (Curtis) Boam, both of Idaho Falls, Ken (Julie) Cramer of Sandy, Utah, and Angie (Brent) Good, also of Idaho Falls; a sister-in-law, Connie Keller, and a brother, George (Joyce) Marriott, both of Rigby; 22 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Kathleen, and her sister, Lova (Jack) Taylor. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the nursing staff at Life Care Center for the compassionate care they provided. Funeral services will be Friday Jan. 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church located at 2349 Virlow Dr., in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
