Laura Susannah Hope 78, of Wendell, formerly of Archer, died at the Mercy Medical Center in Nampa, Thursday, November 15, 2007.
Laura was born September 28, 1929 in Archer, Idaho a daughter of Henry Lillis Sutton and Rachel Briggs Sutton. She was raised and attended school in Archer and graduated from Madison High School. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a visiting teacher. She worked at Simerly’s Grocery Market in Wendell for 20 years. She retired in 1994 as a retail clerk. Laura enjoyed her family, all kinds of handiwork, crocheting, beadwork, quilting, gardening and caring for other people.
Survivors include her two sons, Wayne Lauris (LaNae) Hope of Idaho Falls, Craig S (Rhonda) Hope of Nampa, three sisters Genevieve Heath of Salt Lake City, Utah, Carol (Gayland) Robison of Overton, Nevada, Ada Lou (Reed) Howell of Archer, one brother Stanley B. (Pauline) Sutton of Archer, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, one son Roger K Hope, one sister Zella Bybee, and one brother Jesse L. Sutton.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel. The family will visit with friends on Monday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. and prior to the service on Tuesday from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. both at Eckersell Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
