Laverda Fay Tanney

Laverda Fay Tanney, 85, of Rexburg, formerly of Terreton, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013, at Rexburg Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 6, 1927 in Shelley, Idaho to William Alvin Smuin and Amelia Ann Kendall Smuin. She married Andrew Tanney in 1955; they were blessed with 1 son. She farmed with her father in the Terreton area for many years. She also worked in the Terreton school lunch program. Laverda is survived by her brother, Ervin (Betty) Smuin of Terreton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, and a sister. Memorial services are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and will take place at a later date. Burial will in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
