Laverl Edward Noreen

June 7, 1933 — June 28, 2025

LaVerl Edward Noreen, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 28th, 2025. He died peacefully at the age of 92, due to heart failure, and the natural progression of time.

Born and raised in Idaho, LaVerl dedicated his whole life to his family, his work, and the values of integrity and hard work. He and his adored wife Bernice, shared 72 wonderful years of marriage together, building a life rooted in love, faith and devotion. Together they raised a large family of 9 children: Steve, Gary, Diane, RaNae, Larale, Rex, Leah, Janet and Ron. He was preceded in death by his daughter Diane, and his son Rex whom he now joins in rest.

LaVerl’s greatest accomplishments in life were raising his beloved family, and co-founding Noreen Bros Construction, a hugely successful general contracting business that served the community well with quality and craftsmanship. Known for his never-ending work ethic, and resourcefulness, he passed down a legacy of honesty, dedication, and what it means to serve other people well.

LaVerl had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He was a person who loved riding horses and mules, and one who found peace and purpose in the mountains and wilderness of Idaho. Along with that, LaVerl enjoyed dancing the jitterbug with his wife and his daughters. He will be remembered for his unconditional love for his family, his silliness, strength, his sense of responsibility and respect, and the way his face lit up when surrounded by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

LaVerl chose to be cremated and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. His legacy lives on in the family he built, and the values he instilled. He will be missed beyond measure.
