Lavern Dowdle Fullmer

Lavern Dowdle Fullmer died Oct. 14, 2007 at her home in West Valley City, Ut. She was born Aug.14, 1917 in Preston, Id. to Robert Hazen Dowdle and Lydia Bell Chapman. She married Mack V. Fullmer in the Salt Lake Temple on February 21, 1939. She was a great homemaker, gardener, cook, seamstress and ice cream maker. She was a shipyard welder during WWII. With Mack she served two missions for the LDS Church to Virginia and Guatemala. She is survived by 8 children: Deoine (Paul) Gunderson, Gay Nell (Marvin) Poulton, Stephen (Faye), Richard (Rinda), Terry (Dee), Anne (David) Sebra, Paul, David (Lorene), 54 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren and three brothers Harold, Wayne and Robert Dowdle. Her husband, baby son, Mack R. and granddaughter Mary Gunderson Moss preceded her in death. Three sisters and her parents have also passed away. Her sisters were Donna Young, Edna Samuelson and Gladys Shields. The family will meet with friends, from 7-9 PM Oct. 18, at 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Services will be held Oct. 19, at 2:00 PM at 3665 S. 6000 W., WVC, Ut with a viewing 1 hr prior. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, Saturday, Oct. 20, with a memorial service to follow at the Menan LDS Chapel at 12:00 PM.
