Layne Lohman

Layne Ronald Lohman, 62, of Powell, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Originally from Rigby, Idaho, Layne met the love of his life, Kelly Olaveson, there, and together they built a beautiful life full of faith, family, and service.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Layne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and also the proud owner of BeeHive Homes Assisted Living of Knoxville.

Layne was preceded in death by his father, Ronald John Lohman. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kelly Lohman and his cherished children, Avorie Williams, Trevor Lohman, Meleah Figueroa, Mariah Packard and Jeffrey Lohman.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, RoseMary Lohman and his siblings, Rolanda Bjornson, Mialah Hassard, Jalen Lohman, Terran Lohman and Rhett Lohman.

Layne’s legacy lives on through his 12 grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy, Brylie, Trent, Mason, Benson, Evelyn, Chloe, Adelyn, Ella, Jackson , Kayleigh, Oaklyn and Carson.

Layne will be remembered for his unwavering faith, dedication to his family and the kindness he extended to all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and example will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

A celebration of Layne’s life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fountain City - 6024 Grove Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918. Receiving of friends will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 4:00 PM.

There will also be a receiving of friends at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 W Main Street) in Rigby, Idaho from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM on Thursday, December 26th with a small service at 11:00 am. The burial will follow at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery at 11:30am.

His family appreciates all the love, thoughts, prayers and acts of kindness that have been shown to them during this time.
