Le Roy Birch Wing was born on July 26, 1943. He passed away surrounded by his loved ones on December 4, 2017 in Salmon Idaho. He was born the only son to LeRoy Buchart and Gertrude Birch Wing. He had one older sister and two younger sisters. He was born in Rigby, but grew up in Grant. He graduated in Rigby and attended college for a few years in Oakland Ca. One of the jobs he held was a chef at IHOP in California while he was going to school. He also logged in his younger years for Kelly Logging in the Spencer area. His dream job was working for the City of Idaho Falls as the asst manager and grounds keeper at Sand Creek golf course. He held this job for many many years. He made many of his lifelong friendships on this course and also met the love of his life Clara Wing on the course. After a lot of convincing Le Roy married Clara on March 3, 1995 in Idaho Falls. There were many jokes made about him marrying an older women. Some of their favorite memories are taking their annual trip to the Oregon coast each year to visit family, and of course golf. When Clara finally sold the farm and convinced Le Roy to retire, they began spending their winters in Arizona. They enjoyed traveling all around playing different golf courses together. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Clara Ray Wing, one son, Gary Ray of Salmon, four grandchildren, Michele, Doug, Amy & Calvin ten great grandchildren, Tanner, Pressley, Morgin, Courtnee, Baylea, Stanley, & Devin, Kymberly, Anthony, & Travon And one great great grandson Cahlyn. He is proceeded in death by his parents, two sisters, one daughter in law Cindy, and great grandson Taylor. Services will be Monday Dec 11 2017 from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm at Eckersell Memorial Chapel 101 West Main St. Rigby, Id internment at Riverside cemetery in St Anthony.
