Our loving mother and grandmother, Leah May Lords Randall, 87, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2003, at Pocatello, Idaho, following an illness.
She was born October 19, 1915, at
Taylorville, Idaho, the daughter of Ella Catherine Cook and Daniel James Lords. She graduated
from Ucon High School in 1933, and later married Edward Leroy “Ole” Randall on December 29, 1934. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December 9, 1957. He preceded her in death in 1971.
Leah worked for Idaho Egg Producers in Pocatello and Idaho Falls. She also worked for B & B
Drug and later for Idaho Fresh Pak.
She is survived by her children: Gary Leroy (Loray) Randall, White Bear Lake, Minnesota; Gerald Ray (Landa) Randall, Taylor Falls, Minnesota; Sharleen (Harvey) Partner, Pocatello,Idaho; Nora Katherine “Kathy” (Gary) Elsberry, Peoria, Arizona and Oren Edward (Jani)Randall, Provo, Utah. She is the grandmother of 19, the great grandmother of 26, and has one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Zelda Jardine, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Leah served faithfully in the LDS Church’s Young Women’s, scouting and visiting teaching programs, and loved to do temple work. She enjoyed many activities including quilting and visiting friends, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She leaves behind her a great legacy of kindness and thoughtful service.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. in the Grant LDS Church
(3431 E. 100 N.) With Bishop Alan Batt officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel of Rigby.
