Leedale Mildon

April 4, 1951 — September 11, 2025

LeeDale (Chadwick) Mildon, wife to Clair, mom to David and Dawn (Tay), Nana to WhitLee, Madysen, Chance, and Camryn, Nana the Great to Xader and Maaz…passed away peacefully September 11, 2025, with Clair and Dawn by her side.

Mama was born April 4,1951 to Dale and Evelyn Chadwick. She grew up in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Ogden high School in 1969. She loved growing up with 5 sisters, and her house connected to both her grandparents’ back yards. Her parents divorced, and when she was 14 her dad married Brenda Heaton, they added 2 brothers and another sister.

In 1970 she met her sweetheart, Clair. Mama was working as a switchboard operator and dad was doing janitorial work, both at McKay Dee Hospital. Dad was working towards his certification in respiratory therapy. They married June 1st, 1973. After moving to La Belle, Idaho, in July of 1974, they purchased their first home in Idaho Falls. Ultimately, mom and dad found their forever home in Grant, Idaho. Mom and dad moved in Halloween day, 1997.

Mom was so excited to be a mom. To be a boy mom. David is the oldest, born in 1975 and then me, Dawn in 1977. She was an amazing wife and mom. Her family was everything to her. She was always planning adventures for us, and the weekend getaways David and I weren’t invited. Ski trips, golf weekends, vacations to Disneyland, (we drove both times), hunting, camping, fishing, bowling, afternoons at Rigby Lake or Hiese, planning a generational family reunion for the Reynolds side too many times to count. She loved it all.

Mom also worked for EG&G for 23 years in accounts payable and as a travel agent. She worked second jobs for “play money” at Stop n Go, and Bob’s in Rigby and then at Huds. She retired from Walmart in 2008. She made friends with everyone.

Mom had a kindred spirit in her older sister Carol. She loved all of her sisters, but Carol, Julie, and Jan she was closest too. Mom always looked forward to visiting them on trips to Utah.

Dad and mom did everything together. Saturday night drive-in movie in the summers, (every time they changed the movie), up until their last trip, last month to their favorite carhop diner in Blackfoot. They went every other Friday. Dad took care of mom with love, compassion, empathy, and strength. That’s what love is.

LeeDale was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Ellen, Carol, Jan, Jill. Brothers Larry and Brad, stepmom Brenda.

LeeDale is survived by her husband Clair, both kids, her granddaughters, great grandbabies, nieces, nephews, and all of the “extras” that called her Nana.

There will be a service on Saturday, September 20, at 3:00 p.m. at the Grant Church with help from the relief society of Grant 2nd ward.

Mom liked things casual, dad has asked that we dress that way.
