Lenore Poole Casper, 77, of Ammon, Idaho died Saturday, April 9, 2005 in Idaho Falls, Idaho at the hospital. Lenore was born June 14, 1927 in Menan, Idaho, the daughter of Joseph William and Inez Mary Thomas Poole. She attended school in Menan, Idaho at the Menan Elementary. She graduated in 1945 from Midway High School and later attended the Glen E. Clark Business College in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She married J. Myron “Dode” Casper at Menan, Idaho on December 15, 1946. She met Dode while working at Canners Seed House in Lewisville, Idaho. While living in Pocatello, Idaho she worked at Idaho State University and for Newbury’s Five and Dime. She worked for the telephone company as a receptionist and retired from the School Lunch Program after 22 years with District 91 in Idaho Falls. She was a Senior Volunteer at the Idaho Falls Senior Center and was awarded Senior Citizen of the Month. Lenore taught 4-H for ten years and was an active in P.T. A. for over ten years. She loved to read, crochet, bake and cook cookies and cinnamon rolls for her grandchildren and to make afghans to give to the people who meant a lot to her. She is survived by a daughter, Jeanette (Terrall) Hanson of Las Vegas, Nevada. Two sisters, Nellie (Bill) Otteson of Plainwell, Michigan and Evelyn (Doug) Miller of Billings, Montana. Four brothers; Clyde Poole of Rigby, Idaho, Glen Poole of Menan, Idaho, Blaine Poole of The Dalles, Oregon and Walter Poole of Poulson, Montana. Four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Inez Poole and her husband, Myron Casper, and three brothers, Keith Poole, Rex Poole and Joe Poole. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2005 in the Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main, Rigby, Idaho) at 11:00 a.m. The family will meet with friends at Eckersell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday prior to services from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Idaho Falls Senior Citizen Center.
