Leon Gary Radford, age 75, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 in his home.

Leon was born in Rigby, Idaho to Blain and Wanda Hunting Radford on December 17, 1949. He graduated from Rigby High School and later attended Idaho State University. Leon married Retta Elaine Orgill on June 6, 1969 in Fremont County, Idaho. They were later sealed at the Idaho Falls Temple. He worked as a mechanic for the Idaho Transportation Department for 25+ years. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.

Leon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many callings and helped many people. His passions included; spending time with his family, tinkering and fixing anything with a motor, and enjoying time in the outdoors.

Leon is preceded in death by a son, Brent Radford, his parents, Wanda and Blain Radford, sister, GaeLynne Radford, and a brother, Neil Radford.

Leon is survived by his wife, Elaine Radford. Sons, Gary (Kim) Radford, Dennis (Shaundel) Radford, Bradley (Starla) Radford, Clinton (Brittany) Radford and Daughter Denise (Damien) Luedtke. A sister, Lana Muma, brothers, Reed Radford, Terry Radford, Kent Radford, 15 Grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild as well as 1 on the way.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Ririe LDS Stake Center (14061 N 130 E, Ririe, Idaho). The family will meet with friends Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm, and again on Monday prior to services from 9:30 to 10:45 am, both at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
