Leora Zavenda Johnson

Leora Zavenda Johnson passed away at 8:20 AM, February 25, 2021 at the tender age of 21 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was known by all who loved her as Zavenda.   She was born in Hildale, UT on April 13, 1999 where she lived until she was ten years old.  At that time her family moved to Monteview, ID where she was residing at her passing.  She graduated high school and was employed by her uncles in the family mfg. business and had become a staple as secretary/receptionist.

Zavenda was a very loving soul.  She was constantly looking for little things she could do to bless others.  The oldest of eight children she tried to set an example and to keep her siblings in line.  Her wit and humor were unpredictable.  She was unpretentious and you could expect a direct answer to any inquiry, and a direct question for any curiosity.  She was simply pure and innocent.

Zavenda had many hobbies and was constantly trying to improve herself.  She loved horse riding, animals and music.  She played piano very well and was also learning other instruments.  Zavenda was very creative and loved writing.  Many family members have poetry that she composed.  Her poems were often spur of the moment, for the occasion, and personal for whomever she gave them.   She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Zavenda is survived by her mother Maggie R. Johnson, sister Josephine Ruth Johnson, brothers, William Heber, Terrill Carl, Warren Alexander, Brigham Jerimiah, Erastus Benjamin, and Lyndon McKay Johnson, all of Monteview, Idaho, grandparents, Terrill Carl and Ruth P. Johnson of Colorado City, Arizona, Josphine B.Roundy of  Monteview.

She is preceded in death by her father William Terrill Johnson and her grandfather William Heber Roundy.

Services will be held in the Monteview LDS Church on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM.  Viewing previous to services will begin at 9:00 AM.  Interment will be at Roundy Family Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her father.
