Lesile Claude Davis

Lesile Claude Davis, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012, at his home. He was born June 30, 1933, in Chama, New Mexico to Lester T. Davis and Bessie B. Bramwell Davis. He was raised and attended schools in DeBeque Colorado, graduating from DeBeque High School. As a young man he worked on cattle ranches and met his wife, while working on a dude ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. On July 7, 1952, he married Juanita L. Beard in Tetonia. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1953 serving during The Korean Conflict, and reached the rank of Corporal; he was honorably discharged in 1961. He worked as a State Livestock Inspector in Colorado for 25 years. He enjoyed horses, team roping and bareback riding in rodeos, taking pictures of wildlife and was proud to serve his country as a Marine. He is survived by his wife, Juanita L. Davis, of Idaho Falls, daughter, Kris L. Irvine, of Walden, Colorado, sons, Lesile L. Davis, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lester M. Davis, of Montrose, Colorado, Lance Davis, of eagle, Colorado, mother, Bessie B. Stephens, of Mesa, Arizona, sisters, Betty Lou Crouse, of Grand Junction, Colorado, Lamar Pennington, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nancy Acuna, of Boulder City, Nevada, Carol Zeyen, of Rapid City, South Dakota, brothers, Charles Davis, of Dulce, New Mexico, Danny Davis of Rapid City, South Dakota, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, and a grandson, David. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Tetonia LDS Chapel in Tetonia. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Cache Clawson Cemetery under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
