Leslie Alan Stratton, 68 of Rexburg, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Rexburg Care and Rehab Center.
Leslie was born January 23, 1948 in Rexburg, Idaho to Ivan Allan Stratton and Ada Margaret Hansen. He was raised and attended schools in Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School. He continued his education at Weber State College studying drafting. On June 16, 1976, he married Linda Dalling; to this union, they added a daughter Christi Lynn and a son, David Alan. They later divorced.
Leslie worked for various potato warehouses in Idaho. He also worked in construction at Hill Airforce Base. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he enjoyed drawing, painting and creating intricate craft items. He received many ribbons and awards for his fine work.
He is survived by his daughter, Christi (Vance) Lynn Johnson, of Lewisville, Idaho, son, David Alan Stratton, of St. Anthony, sister, Joie (Glen) Rigby, of Thornton, brother, Stanley (Penny) Stratton, of Hiram, Georgia, and 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Lyman 3rd Ward LDS Chapel, 2041 West 5200 South, Rexburg, Idaho. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby, Idaho. And from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
