Leston Robert Kelley

Leston Robert Kelley, 65, of Idaho Falls passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at the Safe Haven Living Center in Pocatello Idaho. Leston was born July 15, 1951 in Rigby, Idaho a son of Walter Roland and Hettie Elizabeth Kelley. Leston went to school and graduated from Rigby High School in 1970. He married Patricia Ann Sedlock in 1979 where they were later divorced. Leston was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was involved with the local scouts where he would make eagle awards for all the scouts that received their eagle. He worked at the Idaho State Transportation Department on the sign crew for about 25 years. Leston was known all over as a master saddle maker. He had a tender heart and always looked to serve others. He loved to drop off eggs that he got from his friendly chickens. Leston could fix anything with leather except for a broken heart. Leston is survived by his daughters Martha (David) Rigby of Idaho falls, Idaho, Diana Kelley of Idaho Falls, Idaho, sons, Wade (Victoria) Kelley of North Pole, Alaska, Shawn (Cortney) Kelley of Rigby, Idaho as well as 13 grandchildren. Leston was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Roland and Hettie Elizabeth Kelley. Funeral services will be held Monday January 23, at 11:00 am at Eckersell Memorial Chapel. The family will visit with friends and family prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Burial will be at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery following the service.
