Leta F. Mccall

Leta F. McCall, age 72, of Ririe, passed away, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Leta was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, June 24th 1942 a daughter of Eugene Brown and LaVella Smith Brown. Her father owned Brown’s Grocery, so she was really raised on Main Street in Ririe. She attended Ririe Schools graduating from Ririe High School with a wonderful group of lifelong friends. She played music with the band, sang with the choir and really enjoyed school. Leta was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in may positions over her lifetime. Each calling was an education for life. She loved to knit, read, listen to tapes and DVD’s. She enjoyed a well groomed yard with beautiful flowers and numerous cherished friends. Her children and grand children are the most important part of her life. She was very proud of them and grateful for them all. She is survived by her children: Kimberlie Schwenke of Ririe, Lori Smithson of Norfolk, VA., Cary L. Geisler of Ririe and Darren E. Geisler of Victor, sisters; Marla Peaslee of Clearfield, Utah and Twin sister Neta Green of Ririe, nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren and her Aunt Lola Broadbent, one of the best people she had ever known. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Eugene Brown Jr., a brother in law Robert Peaslee and a nephew Michael E. Peaslee. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ririe-Perry Ward LDS Church, 285 2nd West, Ririe, with Bishop Justin Miller conducting. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
