Matthew Levi Marthis, age 23, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday February 15, 2015 from injuries he received in an automobile accident. Levi was born May 24, 1991 in Idaho Falls a son to Matthew Arden Cook Marthis and April Marie Taylor. He attended schools at Falls Valley Elementary, Sandcreek Middle School and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2009. He then attended and graduated from The University of Idaho with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Business in May of 2014. He worked for A.B.C. Janitorial in Moscow, Toomer Construction and Custom Cabinet and Design. He loved to fish with his grandparents, his stepfather Shane taught him the art of golf and how to Snowboard, he rode dirt bikes, he was blessed with an artistic ability from his grandmother Barbara. His father Matt instilled in him that Chevy was the one and only when it came to trucks. He was also a diehard Chevy and Green Bay Packer fan. Levi was loved by everyone who knew him. He was always on the go. Going here and there, living and loving life to the fullest. He lived everyday to be the best day ever. It didn’t matter where he was at or who he was with, he was always having fun. His bright smile and witty remarks brightened everyones day. Levi is survived by his parents, Shane and April Barnes of Idaho Falls and Matthew Marthis of Idaho Falls, grandparents, Lynn and Rose Taylor of Menan, John Marthis of Idaho Falls, Ray and Tina Barnes of Idaho Falls and Nate and Judy Bridges of Cuba, New York. Levi is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Barbara Marthis and great grandparents Charles and Audrey Hunting, Grant and Rella Taylor, Ernest and Ruth Barnes, Frank and Mildred Arden, Horton and Laura Marthis, and Milton and Mary Ardell Anderson and his uncle John Marthis. Levi’s family would like to thank everyone for the love, prayers and support on their behalf, at this difficult time. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 20th 2015 at Ammon 11th Ward LDS Church, 1100 Tie Breaker Drive, Ammon, Idaho. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
