Lila Fern Johnson

Lila Fern Johnson, age 78, of Ririe, passed away, Thursday April 7, 2022 at Idaho Falls Commuity Hospital in Idaho Falls.

Lila was born February 27, 1944 in Rio Tinto, Nevada to David Franklin Dahlquist Sr. and Fern Cora Elston. She grew up and attended schools in Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School, attended Idaho State University in Pocatello where she earned her Associate’s Degree.

Lila married Wayne Johnson in January of 1991 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

During Lila’s life, she worked at the INL as a secretary, and as a fork lift operator for American Foods in Blackfoot for several years.

Lila is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some of her hobbies were camping and being outdoors.

Lila is survived by her husband Wayne, daughter Kimberly of Moore, son Kelly of Texas, brother David Jr. (Rhonda), sister-in-law Yang, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents David and Fern, two brothers and her son Spencer.

Funeral Services will be Friday April 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ririe Stake Center, 1461 North 130 East, Ririe, Idaho 83443.  The family will receive friends at the Stake Center Friday, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at the Rire-Shelton Cemetery.
