Lila Josephine Taylor; age 80, died Friday, April 15, 2005 at her home in Rigby. Lila was born April 21, 1924 in Jackson, Wyoming, the daughter of David Henry Cheney and Lila Josephine Huff Cheney. Lila grew up and attended schools in Jackson, and Wilson, Wyoming. She graduated from Jackson-Wilson High School. and with an associate’s degree from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. Lila married Elbert Dale Taylor, June 30, 1948 in the Idaho Falls, L.D.S. Temple She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, where she served in the Primary and Relief Society. She served two missions with her husband Elbert. One to the Philippines, and one service mission with Deseret Industries. She was an active genealogist. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and sewing. Survivors include her husband Elbert D. Taylor of Rigby, One daughter, Erma (Ronald) Butikofer, of Rigby, Six sons: Steven C. (Connie) Taylor of Ammon, Dale E. (Thelma) Taylor of Idaho Falls, Charlie (Jeri) Taylor of Rigby, Nolan (Liz) Taylor of Shelley, Phillip E. Taylor of Chandler, Arizona, Ernie D. (Gail) Taylor of Fillmore, Utah, one sister Wanda (Whitney) Little of Mountain Home, Idaho, one Brother Rulon (Berdie) Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona, 24 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. Lila was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, one sister, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2005 in the Rigby East Stake Center at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Wayne Call officiating. The family will meet with friends on Monday, April 18, 2005 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 19, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Rigby East Stake Center. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
