Lillie Maude Green

Lillie Maude Sorensen Green, 91, of Rigby, Idaho left this world to go shopping in heaven on July 20, 2006, She was born in Lorenzo, Idaho on October 26, 1914, She was the last survivor of four children born to Hans and Eva Green Sorensen. She was raised in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School and attended college in Rexburg and Pocatello, Idaho. After she graduated from Beauty College, she and her sister Pearl opened and operated Sorensen’s Beauty Salon in Rigby for many years. On February 11, 1935 she married Calvin Oscar Green in Blackfoot, Idaho. They had two children a daughter Gaye Green and a son Lynn C. Green. She loved her garden and grew the most beautiful flowers. She loved to travel and go on cruises. Her greatest passion was to shop and she could wok her daughter and daughter-in-law’s legs of right up to the end. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Gaye (Ken) Puphal of Idaho Falls and son Lynn C. (Sandra) Green of Rigby, Idaho, four grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister. She was a very sweet, lovely lady and will be greatly missed. Grave side services will be held on Monday July 24, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel of Rigby.
