Linda Kaye Niendorf Burt, 56 of Rigby, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010, after losing her brief battle with cancer. She was born on November 14th, 1953 in Ashton, Idaho. Linda married Russell Alan Burt on May 29th, 1971 and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls temple on November 16th, 1976. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and a dedicated sister and aunt. Linda was an excellent cook. She was skilled in sewing, canning and gardening. She enjoyed painting and playing the piano. Family was such a priority for Linda, regular Sunday dinners always included hugs; one upon arrival, one when leaving, and some in between. She is preceded in death by her father Claude Birch, her step-father, Earl Chapple, sons, Russell Eugene Burt, Mathew Alan Burt, sister, Barbra Sanchez, an infant sister, and a grand-daughter, Mya Mae Alan. She is survived by her mother, Joyce Chapple, husband, Russell Alan Burt, sister, Teena Burt, brother-in-law, Donald Burt, brother-in-law, Manny Sanchez, brother, Bob Birch, children, Stephanie Mahoney and spouse, Chris Mahoney, Andrew Burt, Angela Grover and spouse, Clint Grover, Joseph Burt, Laura Allen and spouse, Tyson Allen, grandchildren, Jessica, Wesley, Alyssa, Haylee, Kayla, Mathew, Eli, Saydee, Baylee, Great grandchildren, Jayden and Tyler. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Rigby South Stake Center, 106 N. 3800 E., Rigby. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Sunday evening at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street Rigby, and from 10:30 a.m.to 11:45 a.m. prior to services at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
