Linda Ranae Cheney

Linda RaNae (Ricks) Cheney, 68, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016, at her home in Boise, Idaho, after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Rigby, Idaho, and grew up in the surrounding areas with her 3 younger brothers Lynn, Gary and Larry Ricks. She has a large extended family that she was close with and loved very much. Linda enjoyed playing in the ocean and vacationing at the Oregon Coast with her kids. She loved being out in her yard planting flowers, pulling weeds, and relaxing with her feet in the kiddie pool. She was always up for any shenanigans with her family, including playing ‘Survivor’ on camping trips, dressing up as her character when playing the board game ‘Clue’, participating in the family lip sync contests, and last minute camping in the backyard. She is survived by her daughter Angie Hord, (Jason) and their children Erin (13) and Zach (11) of Boise, ID, her daughter Suzanne Opperman of Portland, OR, her daughter Katie Fink, (Zack) of Phoenix, AZ, and her son Mark Cheney of Boise, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Luella Ricks. Please join us for a celebration of life party on Thursday, April 28, 2016 where we encourage guests to share memories and fun stories to celebrate her life. The event will take place at Eckersell Funeral Home, 101 West Main Street in Rigby, Idaho, from 1pm to 4pm.
