Linda Ann Gardner

Linda Ann Gardner, 71 of Idaho Falls, died at her home on Sunday, May 1, 2016. Linda was born January 29, 1945, in Rigby, Idaho, a daughter of Ralph Lewis and Eunice Sophia Miller Youngstrom. Linda was raised and attended first grade in Spencer, Idaho, and then she finished school in Dubois, Idaho, graduating from Clark County High School (in Dubois) in 1963. Linda married Ed Hohman in Dubois, and then they moved to Ogden. When she and Ed were later divorced, Linda moved back to the Idaho Falls area. She married James Francis Gardner on June 13, 1981, in Teton, Idaho. They enjoyed nearly twenty-eight years of marriage before he passed away in 2009. Linda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of the callings she enjoyed was being the secretary of her ward’s Primary organization. Linda worked as a home health aide. Linda enjoyed water skiing, boating, gardening, fishing, and attending the Temple. Linda is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Rolo) Ward of Ammon; Terri (Kelly) Killian of Lebonon, Oregon; sons, Max (Lynn) Hohman of Dawsonville, Georgia; Rodney (Laura) Hohman of Dawsonville, Georgia; Jamie Gardner of Rexburg, Idaho; Deric (Emily) Gardner of Brunswick, Maine; sisters, Marla Christensen of Scottsdale, AZ; Cheryl (J.B.) Hokanson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Karen (Jay) Inouye of Herndon, Virginia; brothers, Bill (Sandra) Youngstrom of Elk Bend, Idaho; Jay (Joyce) Youngstrom of Rigby, Idaho; Henry Youngstrom of Salt Lake City, Utah; David (Tammy) Youngstrom of Rigby, Idaho; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her twin brother, Lynn Youngstrom. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel. The family viewing will be Thursday morning from 10:00 – 10:50 a.m. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
