Linda Gae Goody Jorgensen, 76 of Ririe, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5th, 2023.
She was born October 14, 1946, in Rigby, Idaho to Frank Fisher and Rhoda Jane Ellis Goody. She was the youngest of three children. Linda graduated from Rigby High School and Ricks College. On June 24th, 1966, she married James D Jorgensen in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. They were later divorced, but from this union, they were blessed with two amazing children.
Linda loved her coworkers at her places of employment, which included Ken Brown Accounting, US Bank, Jefferson County Treasurer’s Office, and the Bank of Idaho. She served as the Jefferson County Park and Rodeo Treasurer for over 30 years. Some of her dearest friends came from her time riding in the Larkspurs Riding Club. Linda enjoyed the many trips, trail rides, and performances throughout these years. She cherished everything to do with horses and rodeos.
From a young age, she enjoyed bowling with her parents and continued to bowl in various leagues. Tuesday nights were not to be messed with; it was the “hand and foot” card night. Those who knew Linda knew she was a shrewd card player. Linda loved to travel, and the last thing on her bucket list was to attend the Calgary Stampede, which she did last month.
Linda was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings. She would say her greatest accomplishments were her children, and her greatest highlights were her five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Linda is survived by, daughter Jody (Tracy) Nelson, daughter-in-law Kristy (Bryan) Magleby, and grandchildren, Riley (Sara) Jorgensen, Tate Nelson (currently serving in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission), Baylee, Kynslee and Gracee Jorgensen. Great grandchildren Deklen, McCoy, Ryatt, and Kellen Jorgensen. Sister-in-Law Elaine Goody.
She was preceded in death by, her favorite son Jasen D Jorgensen, both her parents, sister Gwen (Oscar) Ellsworth, and brother F. Clair Goody.
