Lloyd Albert Chase, 73, of Rigby, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
He was born July 20, 1939 in Rigby to Von Albert Chase and Georgia Williams Chase. He was raised and attended schools in Swan Valley and Ririe. He served in the US Navy. On October 27, 2001, he married Connie Wallace in Rigby.
Lloyd worked as a truck driver for Webster Potato, Tate Farms, and TMC Construction. He also owned an excavating business and drove backhoe.
Lloyd enjoyed racing horses; Flat Track and Chariot Racing. He was a member of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Posse. He loved his family and his grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Chase, of Rigby, daughters, Pamela Chase, of Seabeck, Washington, Terry Simmons, of Richmond, Virginia, Debra Eatinger, of Idaho Falls, Cheryl Koster, of Idaho Falls, Tina Chase, of California, Cathy Turk, of Baker City, Oregon, Brittany Plamondon, of Rigby, Jessica Ambriz, of Anaheim, California, sons, Rick Chase, Bill Chase, Dave Chase, Jason Plamondon, Matthew Plamondon, Patrick Plamondon, all of Idaho Falls, sisters, Verna Swager of Boise, Linda Blackburn, of Idaho Falls, JoAnn Croft, of Rexburg, brother, Dennis Chase, of Umatilla, Oregon, 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife’s, Vienna Chase, and Roseann Chase, son, Von Chase, Daughter, Delores Chase and a grandson, Marshall Turk.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Clark Ward LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
