Lloyd Coles

Lloyd Coles, 82 of Rigby, Idaho passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 in Rigby at the Wildflower Assisted Living.

Lloyd was born July 24, 1942 in Newberg, Oregon, the son of Ruben Elwood Coles and Wauna Vilate Fife Coles. He attended schools in Rigby and High School in Ririe, Idaho. He joined the United States Army after High School.

Lloyd married Helen Harris and with that marriage had a daughter, Shawna. Helen and Lloyd later divorced. Lloyd married Georgia Evans on May 27, 1966 in Ririe, Idaho. Georgia and Lloyd had two sons, Jeff and Dustin. Georgia and Lloyd also divorced.

After his military service, Lloyd worked for Idaho Fresh Pak, then Jefferson County Road and Bridge and then H&K Construction. He retired from H&K.

Lloyd enjoyed fishing, especially fly fishing. He loved to hunt, race snowmobiles, farming, and chariot racing.

Lloyd is survived by his children; Shawna Cook of Cyprus, Texas, Jeff (Holly) Coles of Rigby, Idaho and Dustin (Sheryl) Coles of Rigby, Idaho. A sister, Shirley Ruter of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben Elwood and Wauna Vilate Coles. A brother, DeLoy Coles and a sister, Yvonne Lorene Gould.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery in Ririe, Idaho.
