Lois Jane Beckstead

Lois Jane Beckstead, 67, of Rigby, died October 27, 2005 at the Idaho Falls Health and Rehab of kidney failure. Lois was born March 10, 1938 in Clark, Idaho a daughter of Blaine Hamilton Fillmore and Ellen Elizabeth Parks Fillmore. She was raised and attended school in Rigby graduating from Rigby High School. After high school she attended Sacred Heart Nursing Hospital in Idaho Falls in 1958. Lois worked as a nurse in Salt Lake City, Utah, Rigby, Idaho, Hollywood, California, Weiser, Idaho and Idaho Falls, Idaho. Lois was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lois married Robert William Beckstead on November 26, 1980 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She belonged to the Eagles Lodge in Weiser and Idaho Falls. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, canning, gardening, fishing, and loved animals. Survivors include step daughters Bretta (Marvin) Weatherholtz of San Antonio, Texas. Renae Lane of Meridian, Idaho; Step sons Terry (Paulette) Beckstead of Salt Lake City, Utah, Harold (Brenda) Beckstead of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Shane (Lyn) Beckstead of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Orin (Jackie) Beckstead of Meridian, Idaho; Sisters, Carol (Dean) Boyce Lewisville, Idaho Glora Gay (Verle) Call of Lake Stevens, Washington, and Linda Ellen (John) Crane of Rigby, Idaho. 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren Lois is preceded in death by her parents and her Husband Robert. Funeral services will be held on October 31, 2005 at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel at 1:00 p.m. The family will visit with friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. and prior to the services at the funeral home form 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Burial will follow the services at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
