Lois Tolley Campbell

Lois Tolley Campbell, 89, of Rigby Idaho, passed away Wednesday, June 13th at the home of her daughter in Kaysville, Utah, due to cause’s incident to age. Lois was born June 1, 1923, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ernest and June Chandler Tolley. The family later moved to Rigby, Idaho where Lois attended school, graduating from Rigby high school in 1941. Lois married Parley Robert Campbell, Dec. 3rd 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived and farmed in Rigby until Parley's death in Nov. of 1999. Lois worked half days for the school district when her youngest started school. After living a few years alone at the farm house in Rigby, Lois moved to Kaysville, Utah. Lois is survived by her sisters; Clea Moss of Highland, Utah; Deone (Ken) Cuthbert of Orem, Utah; a brother Ted Tolley of Mississippi; five children, Robert (Ilene) of Aberdeen, Idaho, Steve (MaRee) of Tremonton, Utah, Gary (Sherry) of Rigby, Barbara (Rick) Hall of Rigby, Juleen (Scott) White of Kaysville, Utah; 33 grandchildren and 66 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister (Helen), two brothers (Harold and Donald), her husband Parley, two sons (Paul and Ronald), and a daughter-in-law (Gail). She was active in the L.D.S. Church serving in numerous callings. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, raising chickens, canning, picking huckleberries, bottling fruit and making candy. She loved her family, and shared many stories and poems with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed serving others. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Rigby East Stake Center, 4021 E. 300 N. Rigby, with Bishop Scott White, conducting. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby, and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
