Lois Geneva Furniss, 80 of Teton, Idaho, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Homestead Assisted Living Center in St. Anthony.
Lois was raised and attended schools in Southern Utah, graduating from Parowan High School. On March 3, 1989, she married Gary L. Furniss in the Salt Lake City, LDS Temple. She worked as a telemarketer at Artco for ten years.
Lois was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She loved her family, sewing, baking, going for walks, gardening, canning, and taking pictures. She also liked playing board games and taking care of everyone; especially the children.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanie (Nicky) Chavez of St. Anthony, Idaho, Ronda Wallace of Savannah, Georgia, Kim (Chris) Zeller, of Tooele, Utah sons, Calvan Shields, of Teton, Idaho, David (Sue) Shields, of Preston, Idaho, Rod (Jan) Furniss, of Rigby, Mark (Collette) Furniss, of Ogden, Utah, son-in-law, Steve Borg, of Herriman, Utah. Sister, Joan Mclean, of Southern, Utah, brothers, Leon Guymon, of LaVerkin, Utah, John M. (Judy) Henry, of Panguitch, Utah, and 26 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Furniss and a daughter Toni Borg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Teton 2nd Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Randy Hillman officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
