Lois Lovenia Jardine

Lois Lovenia Jardine, 97, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at her home. She was born November 6, 1915 in Glencoe, Idaho to Carl Enoch Peterson and Christena Lovenia Erickson Peterson. She was raised and attended schools in Grace, graduating from Grace High School as Valedictorian. She then attended LDS Business College in SLC, Utah. On September 9, 1942, she married Virl Newell Jardine in Rockland, Texas; their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, LDS Temple. She worked for Federal Land Bank in Grace and Idaho Falls for over 40 years. Lois was an active member of The LDS Church and severed as a Temple Matron and temple worker in the Idaho Falls Temple for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, canning, quilting, cooking and actively enjoyed her family and many friends. She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Lee) Fuchs, of Idaho Falls, Jennifer (Paul) Sharman, of Houston, Texas, sons, Jeffrey (Bonita) Jardine, of Ammon, Gregory Virl Jardine, of Idaho Falls, Richard F (Verlinda) Jardine who are serving a mission in Nauvoo, IL, sister, GarFaye Harrison, of Corvallis, Oregon, 31 grandchildren, and 78 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the Idaho Falls Stake Center on 1st Street. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family extends their sincere gratitude to Hands of Hope Hospice for their countless hours of loving care. Memorial contributions may be made to Hands of Hope Hospice.
