Lois Kinghorn Taylor

Lois Kinghorn Taylor, 83, of Grant, Idaho died December 3rd 2011 surrounded by her family at the Gardens Assisted Living Center in Rigby. Her journey here on earth began May 1, 1928 in Rigby, Idaho to Delbert and Melba Maria Bright Kinghorn. She was raised in Lewisville attended schools in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School. On March 26, 1947 she married Lyle Dean Taylor of Grant, Idaho in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union they added 3 children. Lois is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she loved the gospel and served in numerous callings. One of her favorites was directing the ward choir for several years; she especially enjoyed serving in the temple. Lois had a great work ethic and was always busy. She loved keeping a beautiful home, gardening, spending many hours working in her yard and especially taking great pride in her roses. She enjoyed family events and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. The family expresses their gratitude to The Gardens Assisted Living Center, Aspen Home Health Care and to Janel. She is survived by her 3 children; Marilyn (Steve) Jensen of Grant, Alan (Tami) Taylor of Grant and Barbara (Bryon) Mugleston of Rigby. Two sisters Amy (Frank) Kraupp of Grant, Claris (Martell) Taylor of Rigby and one brother Nyle (Susan) Kinghorn of Redmond Washington. She had 11 beautiful grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle and her parents. Funeral services will be held Friday December 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at the Grant 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 3431 E. 100 North with Bishop Roger Prestwich officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Grant Church Thursday evening and 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow at the Grant Central Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
