Lola Scott Butler, 93, of Lyman, died at the Ashton Living Center Wednesday, July 25, 2007.
Lola was born September 1, 1913, at Annis, Idaho a daughter to Ephriam Moroni Scott and Hannah Sophia Orstrom Scott. She married Harold Samuel Butler December 12, 1934 in the Logan LDS Temple. She worked as a secretary at the Site and then at Ricks College. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many positions including Temple Worker for many years. She enjoyed family gatherings and visits from grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter Ona Lee (James) Holcomb of Ashton, Idaho, 12 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Samuel Butler, one son DeMonte Butler, one daughter Jolene Hill, one brother Cleo Scott and one sister Ellen Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lyman 3rd Ward LDS Chapel. The family will visit with friends Sunday, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
