Faye B Hill
Lola Faye Blackburn Hill, 86, of Idaho Falls, died January 21st
At Turtle and Crain Assisted Living Facility, of natural causes as well as a broken heart due to the passing of her husband just four months earlier.
She was born November 13th 1918 in Sunnydale, Id to Heber Blackburn and Leona Bybee Blackburn. She graduated from Rigby High School, and worked as a maid at Big Springs Resort where she met Perk, her husband to be.
On May 7th 1942 she married Pershing Johnson Hill in Bremerton Washington while he was on leave from the Navy during World War II. She operated as a licensed beautician while staying home and raising four boys. She enjoyed home making, baking, playing piano and playing bridge with her friends. She had a wonderful and loving personality and was a dedicated mother and wife. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her four sons, Pershing Johnson (Mimi) Hill jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, Glade Blackburn (Marjie) Hill of Aurora, Colo., Dr. K Burnell (Laurie) Schaetzel-Hill of Olympia, Wash., and Casey Blackburn (Donna) Hill of Idaho Falls; two sisters Iola Hill of Arizona and Joyce Smith of Rexburg. She is preceded in death by 1 brother and one sister. Due to a family member undergoing surgery the funeral services will be held at a later date.There will be a viewing for family and friends on Friday Jan 28th at 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street in Rigby.
