Lonnie Dell Gahart, age 70, of Menan, died Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
Lonnie was born May 19, 1935 at Yoder, Colorado a son of Adolf Gahart and Myrtle Marie Bear Gahart. He attended Exiter, California Schools. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean conflict and in Japan. He married Vaunda Rae Wilson July 31, 1969 in Elk Grove, California. He worked for Citizens Utilities in Elk Grove, California as a Lineman and Splicer Supervisor. He was a member of Cal-Sider Side Band CB Club, NRA, IBEW – Union and Telephone Employees Association. He enjoyed Ham Radio, CB Radio, fishing, hunting and his yard.
Survivors include: his wife Vaunda of Menan, 3 daughters: Rhonda Rae (Ron) Terry of Fallon, Nevada, RaLyn (David) McCoy of Sacramento, California, Ellowin Gahart of California; 3 sons: Randy J. (Ann) Collier of Sacramento, California, John Kirk (Diane) Collier of Menan, Idaho, Claude Gahart of California; one brother Bill (Betty) Gahart of Napa California, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Darrin Collier, 1 granddaughter Tyler Lynn Collier and a brother Gary Gahart.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday September 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in his backyard, 634 North 3565 East, Menan, Idaho.
