Lonnie Ransom Seward and his wombmate Lance entered the world in the small town of Bagdad, Arizona on August 23, 1982, to Kenneth and Marjorie Seward. The hospital was just big enough to accommodate 2 babies, so they filled the hospital up in one go. Lonnie and Lance were the last two kids of 9 children, so their household was full!
Lonnie’s parents and 9 kids moved to Ammon where he attended Hillview Elementary School, Sandcreek Middle School, then Hillcrest High School where he graduated in 2001. Over the years Lonnie made many friends when he was in school, and those friends are still his friends to this day.
After graduation Lonnie went to Phoenix, AZ to go to school where he obtained his associate’s degree in computer electronics. After he graduated is when he met the love of his life, Monica Jensen. They met online through an LDS dating website and talked for a few months before finally meeting in person in the summer of 2004. They were engaged in November of that year and Married May 28th, 2005, in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Lonnie and Monica lived in Ammon, Idaho for a few years, then Lonnie got a position at the Naval Reactor Facility on the INL in 2006 where he worked until his passing. After his new job and their first child, Kason, was born, they decided to grow roots in Jefferson County. They moved into their new home in 2008, shortly after they had Kaylee, their only daughter, then finishing their family with their last child Max in 2010.
Lonnie enjoyed many different things from camping with friends and family, dirt biking around the hills of Fall Creek or Stoddard Creek area, to tinkering in the garage on his next project. Lonnie was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He lived and defended the values of the church although he wasn’t keen on actually attending.
We all have been the victim of his many pranks. With a laugh so bright it would fill whatever space he occupied. From campsites, to home, in restaurants, it didn’t matter. If you knew Lonnie, then you have been pestered by Lonnie.
Lonnie had a heart of gold and always was willing to help wherever help was needed. He is preceded in death by his Father, Kenneth Seward, his nephew Vincent Carter, and his Best Friend Joe Keller. He is loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Seward and siblings, Katurah Steffler (Kevin), Stephannie Billman (John), Trixie Carter (Steven), Chris Seward (Andrae), Melinda Morgan (Erik), Charlotte Dally (Derek), Blake Seward, Lance Seward (Danielle) and 47 nieces and nephews.
