Lorin Moyer Gold, 82 of Rexburg, died September 29, 2008, at the Rexburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born May 29, 1926, in Burton, Idaho to Louis and Bertha H. Gold. He joined the Navy in 1944 after graduation from Rexburg High School. He married Katheleen Pedersen on March 6, 1947 at Lorin’s parent’s home in Burton.
He farmed in Burton all of his life and owned and operated Gold Motors and Lorin M. Gold Trucking, hauling potatoes and cheese.
Lorin enjoyed life, work, people, traveling, camping and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Katheleen of 61 years, two sons, Pete Gold of Rexburg and Kraig (Ruth Ann) Gold of Idaho Falls, two grandchildren, Hutch (Robin) Gold of Rigby, and Gindy Jenkins of New Mexico, 3 great grandsons and 3 great-great-granddaughters.
Arrangements are under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. At Lorin’s request, there will not be a funeral.
