Louise Leola Lindsey

Louise Leola Lindsey, 92, of Rigby, Idaho passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  The daughter of Eric Elton Stubblefield and Zola Dove Edmon Stubblefield, Louise was born May 5, 1926 in Rock Creek, Oklahoma. She was raised on the family farm near Shawnee, Oklahoma and attended school in Earlsboro, Oklahoma.
Louise married David Allen Lindsey in Reno, Nevada in 1945.  He preceded her in death in 1992.  In 2005 she married Bill McMakin in Rigby, Idaho.  He also preceded her in death.
During WWII, Louise worked for Standard Oil in the analysis lab in Richmond, California.  In the late 1950s and early 1960s she worked in the civilian payroll division at Edwards Air Force Base near Mojave, California. Her favorite occupation was that of mother.
Louise was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  She served a mission in the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She also served as an Officiator in the Oakland, California and Idaho Falls, Idaho Temples.  Louise  had a great love for her family and friends and she spent her life in the service of others.  She was very talented. Her good cooking was among the many talents that she enjoyed sharing.
Louise is survived by her children, Phyllis A (Barry) Lewis of Rigby, Idaho, Donald W (Lani) Lindsey of Rigby, Idaho and Stephen R (Denice) Lindsey of Pine Grove, California and a brother, Fred L Stubblefield of Earlsboro, Oklahoma.  Eleven grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husbands and parents.  Also, sisters, Mabel M Melot and Maida L Stubblefield and brothers, Raymond D Stubblefield, Alton E Stubblefield, and Willard L Stubblefield.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Rigby LDS Stake Center (258 West 1st North, Rigby, Idaho).  The family will meet with friends Friday, September 14, 2018 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho) from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. The interment will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
