Lowell C. Moore of Roberts passed away Tuesday evening August 21, 2007 at his home.
Lowell was born in Idaho Falls April 8, 1918 to Ethel White Moore and B.J. (Joe) Moore. He grew up in Ririe, Menan and Idaho Falls.
Lowell graduated from Idaho Falls High School and engaged in farming west of Roberts. He met and courted a schoolteacher named Geraldine Wagner that had rented a room from Clara Hand, a widow in Roberts. Lowell and Gerri were married on July 29th, 1938 in Idaho Falls at the home of Reverend Dr. J.I.Gulick a dear family friend and pastor of the First Presbyterian Church.
Lowell farmed west of Roberts, broke ground as Desert Entries in Swan Falls, grew potatoes in Kuna and Murphy. He ran a produce brokerage and specialized in certified seed; he worked as a Real Estate Agent out of Boise mainly featuring agricultural areas. Lowell spent many years in public service as Grange Master, West Side Soil Conservation Supervisor, and State Soil Conservation District President and also served as Secretary at one time and spent three years on the National Soil Conservation Assoc. Board. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge. Lowell was a member of the Roberts Community Church and had been active until the last few years when his health failed. Lowell has been a resident of the Roberts area for 70 years. He subdivide some of his farm ground for homes to be built and envisioned the Roberts area someday growing to be a bedroom community to Idaho Falls.
Lowell was a hard worker, was never idle and expected the same from those who worked with him. He always had a project or a dream to work forward on.
Lowell is survived by a brother Dean Moore of Irrigon Oregon; his children, Russell (Pat) Moore of Idaho Falls,“Pam” Phoebe Anne (Ned) Sauer of Rigby and “Jim” James L. (Carolyn) Moore of Roberts. nine Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ethel and Joe Moore, his wife Geraldine of 63 years a brother Marian Moore of Caldwell and a Grandson Derek Moore.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 27th, at the Market Lake
Cemetery in Roberts; under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel with Creekside Chaplin, Madeline Koeppen presiding.
Family and friends may view Mr. Moore at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel
from 12:00 - 4:00PM Saturday, and Monday from 9:00-10:00 AM prior to services. Burial will be in the Market Lake Cemetery.
