Lucile Sylvia Johnson, 71, of Rigby, died Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. She was born May 2, 1939, in Thorton, Idaho, to Glen Reid Hansen and Sylvia Margrete Davies Hansen. She attended schools in Rigby, Graduating from Rigby High School; she then continued her education at ISU. She married Noel Dee Johnson November 23, 1960 in Rigby, Idaho, together they had 2 children. She worked at Idaho Fresh Pack in Lewisville for 32 years as a Traffic Manager. Lucile served on the Board of Directors for the Jefferson Hills Golf Course & Recreation, was involved with Urban Renewal for the City of Rigby, and was a member of the Rigby Chamber of Commerce and was a former member of the Rigby City Council. Lucile enjoyed golfing, crocheting, crossword puzzles, reading and was a Utah Jazz fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her husband, Noel Dee Johnson, of Rigby, daughter, Sandra (Rick) Jacobsen, of Idaho Falls, a son, Jerry Johnson, of Rigby, sisters, Rosemary (George) Juenke, of Rigby, Ruby (Art) Ellis, of Hagerman, Virginia Booth, of Silver Springs, Maryland, a brother, Larry (Jan) Hansen, of Grants Pass, Oregon, 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at the Rigby 4th Ward LDS Chapel ; 401 W. 1st South, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday evening at Eckersell Funeral Home, 101 West Main Street, Rigby and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
