Lucy N. Clark of Menan passed away, surrounded by her loving family on April 7, 2015 at Morning Star Senior Living in Idaho Falls. Lucy was born November 16, 1927 to Albert J. Nelson and Lucy Devine Benson at Teton City Idaho. She grew up in Teton City and attended schools in Rexburg and St. Anthony. She spent a year in Los Angeles, California working as a care giver for a family.
On September 20, 1946 she married Kay L. Clark, of Menan, Idaho, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They made their home in Menan, Idaho and owned and operated Clark Lumber in Roberts, Idaho for 55 years.
Lucy was very active in the LDS church serving in many capacities, including Relief Society President of the Menan 1st Ward. She and Kay served as ordinance workers in the Idaho Falls Temple for twelve years. She enjoyed gardening, Spanish Extraction work, genealogy, golfing and spending time with her family. She especially found great joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Kent (JoAnn) Clark, Menan; Joyce (Richard) Warner, Rigby; Wayne (Kristine) Clark, Rigby; her younger brother Mark Jay Nelson; six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kay; daughter, Valerie; four brothers; and three grandsons, Danny, Steven, and Joe.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff and management of Morningstar Senior Living Center; especially Ashley in the Reflections Unit and the CNAs who lovingly cared for Lucy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Menan Stake Center with Bishop Neil Jensen officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the stake center. Burial will be at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
