Richard Lyle Anglesey, age 80, of Rigby, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at his home, he was under the care of Idaho Home Health and Hospice.
Lyle was born November 13, 1927 in LaBelle, Idaho a son to Rulon Lavern Anglesey and Mary Ellen Barnes Anglesey. He attended school in LaBelle and Rigby graduating from Rigby High School. He married Delores Allen, They divorced in 1987.
Lyle is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. He was a hard worker and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He called himself a jack of all trades but master of none, he plastered homes, stuckoed houses, owned the Anglesey Mills in Rigby, built a number of homes in Rigby, worked for Jefferson County Road and Bridge for fifteen years and drove truck for Idaho Asphalt in Idaho Falls until he retired May of 2006. He married his sweetheart Ruth Gallup Rushton May 3, 1991 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple May 16, 1998. They loved spending time together, grandkids and great grandkids, camping, fishing, golf, bowling and playing pool.
Survivors include his wife Ruth, children: Terry (DeAnn) Anglesey of Helstes, Texas, Tammy Anglesey of New Port, Oregon, brothers and sisters: Wendel (Nada) Anglesey of Spokane, Washington, Ben (Frances) Anglesey of West Point, Utah, Marilyn Eskelsen, Rupert, Idaho, Gwen Ronald) Marcyes of Clearfield, Utah, Philip (Mary) Anglesey of Sacramento, California, six grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garfield Ward LDS Chapel, 71 North 3700 East Rigby with Bishop Kevin Ringle conducting. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
