LYNN Albert JENSEN age 76 of Rigby, died Wednesday, October 9, 2002 in Rigby. Lynn was
born August 30, 1926 in Independence, Idaho, the son of Niels and Helena Rasmine Hansen Jensen.
Lynn grew up and attended schools in the Independence and Burton area. He graduated from
Madison High School; where he was active in football, basketball and pep band. Lynn attended
Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, and Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Lynn married
Nola Mae Jorgensen, June 8, 1948 in the Idaho Falls Latter Day Saint Temple.
Lynn was a talented Saxophone player. He had a dance band or played in a dance band most
of his life. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. He served in two bishoprics, as a counselor and as Bishop of the Rigby First Ward. He served on the Rigby Stake High Council, and as a High Priest Group Leader, and was a faithful Home Teacher.
Lynn was active in community affairs. He served on the Rigby City Council for 12 years,
and as President of the Rigby Chamber of Commerce. He was the first president of the Rigby High
School Booster Club, and had served as President of the Rigby Lions Club. He had served with the
United States Air Force during WWII in Germany. He owned and operated Jensen Furniture store
in Rigby for Fifty years.
He is survived by his wife Nola J. Jensen of Rigby, Idaho. Three Daughters; Chris (Reed) Bonham of Sanger, California, Julia (Eric) Beck of Menan, Idaho and Marilyn (Joey) Petersen of Las Vegas, Nevada. Two Sons;Greg (Julie) Jensen of Las Vegas, Nevada and Ronald (Brenda) Jensen of Rigby, Idaho. Three Brothers; Grant Jensen of Rexburg, Idaho, Lowell (Arda) Jensen of Ucon, Idaho and
Keith (Marian) Jensen of Chubbuck, Idaho. 24 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Preceded by five brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 14, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rigby L.D.S.
Stake Center, with Brad Anderson Officiating. The Family will receive friends Sunday Evening
6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Rigby Stake Center, and Monday 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at the Rigby
Stake Center. Interment will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell
Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
