Lynn Theodore Reiman

Lynn Theodore Reiman, 87, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living Facility in Idaho Falls. He was born December 8, 1925, in Warm River, Idaho, to Joseph Theodore Reiman and Blanche Priscilla Murdoch Reiman. He spent his early years in Warm River and later moved to Ashton, Idaho, where he graduated from high school. At 18 years of age he reported to Fort Douglas, Utah and on June 29, 1944 he enlisted in the US Army. He was later assigned to company “C” 17th Infantry, 7th Division. He was honorably discharged on April 9, 1946. He married Anola Jewel Bird in 1946; they had 8 children, Teryl (Mary) Reiman, Paula (David) Peterson, Scott Reiman, Lori Ann Reiman, Doug Reiman Landis, Janae Borrup, Phillip Reiman Landis, and Karla Sharp. They divorced in 1963. He married Lucile Ward Neitzel August 18, 1966 in the Idaho Falls LDS temple and gained 4 step children; Jim (Claudia) Neitzel, Dennis (Brenda) Neitzel, Joyce (Mark) Burgener, Jerry (Carol) Neitzel and David (Cheryl) Neitzel. Lucile passed away October 19, 1992. He married Lelah Wilcox May 1, 1993. They were divorced in 1996. He married Betty Jane Ferguson October 4, 1996 and gained 4 more step children; Danny (Marcene) Ferguson, Terry (Sheila) Ferguson, Linda O’Neil, Kelly (Sarah) Ferguson. Lynn was an active member of the LDS Church where he was a High Priest, a dedicated home teacher, and was a temple officiator and sealer in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple from 1989 to 1995. He was able to seal several of his grandchildren to their spouses. He served a mission in London England from 1994 - 1995. He and Betty served a mission together in the Dallas, Texas Temple and the Albuquerque, New Mexico Temple. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Ellis Reiman, of Rigby, all of his children, 34 grandchildren, and 82 great-grandchildren, and a sister Helen Marsden of Ashton. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kay Reiman, sister, Blanche Tighe, and his 2nd wife, Lucile. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 31, at the Ririe Stake Center, 14061 N. 130 E., Ririe. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
