Mabel Evern Birch

M. Evern Birch, 84, of Rigby, died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at Turtle and Crane Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls. Evern was born July 5, 1918, at Garfield, Idaho a daughter of William Gneiting and Mabel Jenkins Gneiting. She attended schools in Garfield. Evern married Woodrow William Birch January 27, 1937, at Logan, Utah. They settled in Rigby and she was the bookkeeper for their Automotive business for 42 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband Woodrow. Survivors include 3 sisters Mrs. Donna Lucille Hill of Rigby, Idaho Mrs. Keith (Marcene) Hadley of Pallisades, Idaho Mrs. Dean (Sarah Arlene) Hayes of Rigby, Idaho 3 brothers William Marvin (Faye) Gneiting of Garfield, Idaho Merlin LaVar Gneiting of Thatcher, Idaho Samuel LaMar (Patricia) Gneiting of Garfield, Idaho She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Woodrow, and a brother Harold Gene Gneiting. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. in the Eckersell Memorial Chapel. The family will visit with friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery.
