Lavina “Mae” Seedall, 91, of Ucon, died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at her home.
Mae was born April 23, 1918, in Ammon , to Niels Severin Lee and Lena Frances Helmandollar.
She graduated from Ucon High School where she played basketball, was a very fast typist and graduated top of her class. During her senior year in high school she started working at the White Star Laundry and worked at various jobs until she retired from RT French Co. in 1983. On May 23, 1942, she married Vernal Seedall in Idaho Falls. They farmed in Ucon, ran a store in Lincoln and worked and lived in Idaho Falls. Vernall passed away December 21, 1998.
Mae was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She liked to cook, especially homemade candy, she enjoyed fishing, crocheting, knitting and reading. She especially loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her son-in-law, Sherrol, thought she was a “classy” lady. She was very kind, never mean. She never wanted to be around anyone who was mean. Her philosophy of life was to work hard and do your best at all times.
She is survived by her daughter; Karen (Sherrol) Landon, of Ucon, grandchildren; Bret (Terri) Landon, Julie (Jeff) Buhler, Tonia (Kevin) Swalberg, Doug (Danelle) Landon, Lynette (Russ) Livesay, Heidi (Ben) Cluff, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 15, 2010, at the Monument Ward Church 10854 N. 41 E., in Ucon. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
