Marcene Hadley, 90, of Ammon Idaho, passed away Wednesday January 18, 2017, at the Hospice House in Idaho Falls.
Marcene was born on May 22, 1926, in Garfield Idaho, to William and Mabel Gneiting. She was raised in Rigby and attended Ucon High School. Marcene married Keith W. Hadley on November 13, 1943 in Rigby, Idaho. She loved to go camping, fishing, and go on hunting trips with her husband. She loved to crochet as well as cook and she was great at it. Marcene worked for the Bureau of Reclamation at the Palisades Dam and the Irwin Trading Post. She worked hard at taking care of her husband. They spent their winters in Yuma, Arizona where they had a home for over 25 years. Her 65 years spent living in Palisades where special to her. She loved being in the beautiful mountains and trees.
Marcene was survived by her daughter Jean Ann (Robert) Christiansen of Idaho Falls, Idaho, son Dennis Keith (Bonita) Hadley of Iona, Idaho, a sister Arlene Hayes of Rigby, Idaho, 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Keith W Hadley, parents William and Mable Gneiting, two sisters, Mabel Birch and Donna Hill, four brothers, Gene Gneiting, William (Billy) Gneiting, Merlin Gneiting and LaMar (Sam) Gneiting and grandson, Jim Christiansen.
Funeral services will be held at Eckersell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday January 24, 2017 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends and family prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45. There will be a visitation on Monday January 23, 2017 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
