Margaret Ellen Bonham, 87, of Rigby, died April 19, 2009, in Rigby.
Margaret was born on October 23, 1921, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the daughter of M.E. and Zetta Branstetter Toliver.
Margaret grew up and attended schools in Rigby. She graduated from Rigby High School and ISU School of Pharmacy.
She married Eliot Bonham on March 8, 1944, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Margaret took over management of Reed Drug in 1961 until the fire in July 1988 destroyed the drugstore.
In May 2001 Margaret was honored by ISU School of Pharmacy, with the “Professional Achievement Award in Pharmacy”.
Margaret is survived by her son, Reed and his wife, Chris (Jensen) Bonham, of Sanger, Ca. she has 6 grandchildren; Judy (Jason) Powell, of Tucson, Az., Angela (Brett) Crowley, of Las Vegas, Nv., Marie (Kenny) Crandall, of Gilbert, Az., Heather Bonham, of Sanger, Ca., Lori Bonham, of Salt Lake City, Ut., and Mark Bonham, of Provo, Ut. She has 6 great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eliot, her sisters, Telma Groom, and June Giles, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. In lieu of flowers please send donations to ISU College of Pharmacy.
