Margaret Hancock

Margaret Winfield Hancock was born Margaret May Arrowood on August 18, 1923 in Summerville Tennessee. She passed into the arms of her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ on December 15, 2011 in Lee’s Summit Missouri. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Hancock of Rigby, ID and daughters Wanda and Charlene. She is survived by her daughter Darlene Wallace of Idaho Falls, ID and son John Winfield of Lee’s Summit, MO. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She retired from Western Union as a teletype operator after 32 years. Margaret loved helping others and was a caregiver who reflected the love of Christ in both words and actions. Visitation will be 6-8pm on Sunday December 18, 2011 at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit, MO. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at the Grant Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby.
